Sean Connery, the best Bond of all James Bonds

Being somewhat of a James Bond 007 fan over the years, to me Sean Connery the original Bond was always my favorite. As he moved on to do other things there have been a few other actors playing the role and some better than others.

My second choice of all time was Roger Moore who was the second James Bond.

One that is coming on strong as the Bond character and I consider him an excellent 007 is Daniel Craig. He has the looks, class and toughness of a James Bond character.

I did read that Liam Neeson was offered a Bond role but was talked out of it by his wife. I think he would have made an excellent James Bond, he is an excellent actor and has the demeanor to play 007.

Pierce is still my favorite. I think Roger has a bit more of an edge for me than Sean. Sadly, I thought Timothy was dreadful, and have yet to watch Daniel Craig in the role.

That is a good collection to have. The popularity of Bond actors I think depends on age groups. It seems that younger people prefer Daniel Craig and us older folks more seem to like Connery the best. One thing for sure is that Roger Moore is a consistent second.
I agree. It seems to depend upon who played 007 in the first James Bond movie you saw. Like you, for me it was Sean Connery.

Glad yo agree. The second 007 I saw was the one with David Niven but then I saw the rest of the Connery series before any of the others. When it was announced that Sean Connery did not want to do anymore Bond films, I thought OMG who else can they find to play that role. Well the producers of Bond movies did not seem to have any problems finding good suitable replacements. I still would have liked to have seen one with Liam Neeson.

We have the com[pleat 007 going way back and to me Danial Craig is the best with Roger Moore second.
We have them both Bert Bacharach did the Theme song and started a tradition of great Bond music.

There was one Bond movie that had David Niven as James Bond. It was Casino Royale, who was a a real British commando during WW2. This was in 1967. A later version of Casino Royale was made years later starring Daniel Craig.

My Uncle is a HUGE James Bond fan !! I think he finally has updated all of them to 4k ultra formatting !! I recently saw "Golden Eye" at his exclusive entertainment room. The windows were shaking from his sound system !!

Great post Julie !!
